CLAYWORKS POTTERY ● HANDMADE POTTERY

OUR STORY

Jodie began her adventure after receiving a fine arts degree in 1996 from Georgian College with an aspiration to paint in oils.  Four years working with potter, Barb Jackson of Toad Hill pottery, Jodie swayed her passion to a new medium.  With clay, Jodie was able to take her creativity to a whole new level with painting, carving and sculpture in each unique piece.

Clayworks Pottery grew from the rugged shores of Georgian Bay just north of Jodie's home town, Parry Sound Ontario. Images of the wind swept Jack Pine to the elusive Dragonfly is abundant in her works of art.
Just outside of Killbear Provincial Park was Jodie’s main studio location. From here she would take excursions to Franklin Island, Red Rock, the Minks and as far north as the French River gathering ideas and inspiration.

In 2012, Jodie and her family moved to Bethany, a small town in the Kawartha Lakes in Ontario, with a whole new landscape to draw from.  After settling in, the doors of Clayworks Pottery are now open once again at 112 Weston Road, Bethany.
